Spiced Cranberry Cocktails warm you right up and are always a seasonal favorite! They can be spiked with your favorite rum or made non-alcoholic. They taste best when made with real fresh organic cranberries that are infused with cinnamon, orange, allspice, star anise and clove.
When the cranberry mixture is warmed with spices and a touch of real maple syrup, it transforms into a rich red color and surprisingly tastes similar to hot spiced wine. This festive cocktail can be kept warm in your crockpot and will stay at the perfect temperature as long as you need. Let’s get started crafting these specialty drinks!
Spices: For this festive cocktail you will need cinnamon sticks, star anise, allspice and clove.
6 cups of water
2 cups of fresh organic cranberries
8 whole allspice berries
3 sticks of cinnamon
3 strips of orange peel for zest
3/4 cup maple syrup
Add the water and fresh cranberries to a blender. Blend on a high setting until the cranberries are fully pulverized. Pour the blended mixture into a Dutch oven and add in the remaining ingredients. Next bring the mixture to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Stir occasionally. Simmer for up to 60 minutes. Run the mixture through a strainer and discard the pulp and spices. Transfer the mixture into a crockpot and serve warm.
If you wish, kick the beverage up a notch and add a shot of your favorite rum and garnish the cocktail with a cinnamon stick, small slice of orange peel and star anise. Hellllloooo Weekend!!!! Enjoy responsibly!
